Audrey Isabelle Weber, born December 21, 1930, to Berton and Jeanette Williams in West Seattle, peacefully passed away surrounded by her beloved family on May 2, 2024 in Bellingham, WA. She graduated from Holy Rosary Catholic High School in Seattle in 1948 and later went on to attend Seattle University.
In 1954, Audrey united in marriage with her devoted husband, James "Jim" Weber, who preceded her in death in 2011. Together, they built a life centered on their deep Catholic faith, dedicating themselves to volunteering and fostering cherished friendships within their communities. Audrey's journey of faith started at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in West Seattle, and together with Jim to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Seattle, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Spokane, and Church of the Assumption in Bellingham. Audrey's deep devotion to the Blessed Mother Mary was evident in her daily rosary prayers. She also dedicated prayers for each of her seven children on their designated day of the week, a tradition she upheld lovingly to ensure that every child felt uniquely cherished.
Audrey and Jim's love overflowed into their family life, as they raised their children with unwavering faith and patience. Their family adventures often led them on camping trips throughout the western United States, providing Audrey with ample opportunities to indulge in her profound love and appreciation for the majesty of trees. Audrey and Jim continued to find joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in their love for the Seattle Mariners, which led to many annual trips to Arizona for spring training. After Jim's passing, Audrey developed a newfound love for other sports like Gonzaga basketball, jokingly remarking that he would wonder why she waited until after his death. Perhaps, in embracing these interests, she found a way to feel closer to him, keeping their connection alive through shared passions. Audrey's wit remained a hallmark of her character until her final days, a testament to her vibrant spirit and endearing sense of humor.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren:
• Shary, her sons Luke and Danny (with his partner Kanoe and their children Nevaeh and Isaiah).
• Mary Jo, her daughter Cara (with her husband Ian).
• Becky, her husband Gary and Becky’s children Brian (with his wife Lisa), Patti (with her children MacKenzy and Tre), Andrew (with his wife Ashley and their children Harper, Keira, and Luca), and Jake.
• Kathy, her son Michael.
• Theresa, her husband Martin and their children Joey, Zach (with his wife Annah and their daughter on the way), and Shelby.
• Ann Marie, her husband Rick and their children Meghan (with her daughters Leiah and Lilly, partner Brandon and their son Jayden), Nichole (with her daughter Charli), and Nathaniel.
• Jimmy, his wife Carrie and their daughter Hannah.
• Son from Korea, Kevin Kim, his wife Parastoo and their children Lily and Jasmine.
Though Audrey's physical presence may be absent, her spirit shines brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. As we mourn her passing, we find solace in knowing that she now rests in the loving embrace of The Lord. May her soul find eternal peace and may her memory continue to inspire us all.
