Adele M. Spillane, age 93 of Bellingham, passed away January 10, 2012. She was born September 12, 1918 in Molson, WA to Hugo and Rose DuMont and was raised in British Columbia. Adele earned her nursing degree in Victoria, served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a nurse, and continued to work in nursing in Spokane. She lived life to the full and greatly enjoyed the beauties of nature. Adele was always gracious, generous, hospitable and dearly loved her family. She was a faithful member of Assumption Parish in Spokane and later Assumption Parish in Bellingham. Adele was preceded in death by her husband James. She is survived by her sisters Sr. Louise DuMont, CSJP, of Seattle, Sr. Lucy DuMont, SSA, of Victoria, B.C., and Jeannette Sieg of Chilliwack, B.C., brother-in-law Noel Grout of New Westminster, B.C., and many loving relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption, 2116 Cornwall Ave. in Bellingham on Thursday, January 19th at 10:30 AM, followed by a reception at the Church.
