Andy Pecaric

Andy (Andrija) Pecaric, born November 11, 1931 in Komiza, Croatia, passed away August 23, 2014 in Bellingham, WA. Andy immigrated to San Pedro, California in 1959 where he fished tuna for several years. He married his sweetheart, Patricia Louise, and together they moved to Bellingham where he fished in The Puget Sound and Alaska. He was the owner and captain of the fishing vessel “Patti Lu” for many years. Andy and Patricia shared a love of travel. They spent many winters in Hawaii and visited their friends around the world. Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia. He is survived by his sister, Nina Giaconi of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, brother Tony (Mlaji) (Maureen) Pecaric of Lynden, WA, numerous nieces and nephews, brother-in-law Roger Smith, step children and many loving family and friends. A visitation will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Thursday, August 28 from 10-11:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 1 pm, immediately followed by a reception at the Parish Hall. Fr. Joseph Altenhofen will be officiating. Andy will live in our hearts forever.
