Ann Colwell, age 89 of Bellingham passed away March 3, 2012 in Bellingham.
She was born June 13, 1922 in Waterville, WA to Robert and Marie Heisig. She married Anthony “Tony” Colwell in 1946 in Waterville, WA. She was an excellent homemaker and enjoyed cooking, canning, baking pies, cleaning and taking care of her children, and later the grandchildren. She also professionally cleaned houses for many years. She also enjoyed co-piloting with her husband Tony on long truck drives. Ann was a devout Catholic and an active member of Sacred Heart Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Colwell; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her children; Phillip (Julie) Colwell, Randy (Brenda) Colwell, Jeannie (Kraig) Miller, Marilyn Herrick, Robert Colwell, Roger (Tina) Colwell, Johnny Colwell and Carol (James) Garding; sisters; Mary Elliott and Eleanor Bennett and brother; Frank Heisig; 23 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and two more on the way. Vigil Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, March 8, at 7:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, March 9, at 12:00pm, followed by a reception at the Church. Committal will follow at Bayview City Cemetery.
