Anna K. Klein, age 82 of Bellingham passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 31, 2013. She was born June 18, 1930 on Shaw Island, WA to Henry and Mary (Biendl) Wopperer. She married Roy Klein on February 26, 1949 in Anacortes, WA. Anna was an active volunteer with several organizations including Church of Assumption and the Whatcom County Courthouse. Anna was articulate, caring and compassionate. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Klein in 1977 and her brothers Conrad, Henry and John Wopperer. She is survived by her daughter Theresa Parrish of Bellingham, son John (wife Lorrie) Klein of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, grandson Chris (wife Kristy) Parrish and their daughters Jadwyn and Tennisyn, sisters Mary (husband Phil) Wiederrecht and Kreszenz (husband Robert) Shaw and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 5th from 3-5 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption on Thursday, June 6th at 10:30 AM. A reception will follow at Westford’s Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway. Memorials may be made to Church of the Assumption.
