Ante “Tony” Mihovilovich passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital on December 27, 2017. Tony was born on May 8, 1934 in Croatia to Josip and Pavulina Mihovilovich. He lived in Komiza, Island of Vis, Croatia, where he married Ena Bjazevic in 1954. They moved with their three children to Bellingham in 1973. Tony was a commercial fisherman and worked at Redden Net Company as a net hanger. Tony and Ena have been members of Sacred Heart Parish since 1973. He loved singing, dancing and gardening and was an animated storyteller with a great sense of humor. Tony was preceded in death by his siblings Domina, Ivo, Fanica, Jakov and Bepo. He is survived by his loving wife Ena, sons Joe (Katija) Mihovilovich and Jaksa (Senija) Mihovilovich, daughter Katarina Scheffer, grandchildren; Sanja (Ben), Tina, Niki, Tony, Andy, Jacqueline, Karline and Janine, great-grandchildren Mason and Mackenzie, sister Katica Borcic and many loving relatives and friends. A Vigil prayer service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, January 4th at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, January 5th at 11:00 AM. Reception following at the Church. Committal following at Bayview Cemetery.
