Memorial Service: Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.  Reception to Follow.
Barbara R. Butler, age 80 of Bellingham, passed away peacefully January 24, 2010. She was born April 21, 1929 in Toronto, Canada to William and Edith Jackson.  In 1955, she married Arthur Butler and moved to Bellingham in 1973.  She was a faithful and devoted member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for over 35 years, and was active in the Daughters of the King, the St. Paul’s Choir, and the Sewing Guild.  Barb and Art were very active in the Bellingham music community, including the Whatcom Chorale, the Bellingham Music Guild and the St. Paul’s Choir.  Barb shared communion and the Word of God to those who were in care homes.  Barb will be remembered as a loving, generous, and kind person.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Art, in 2008.  She is survived by son Glenn Butler of Aldergrove, BC; daughter Sharon Butler of New Westminster, BC; son Richard (Lisa) Butler (Colene, David, Melissa, Karly) of Langley, BC; daughter Beverly (Jimmy) Butler-Lane (Alisia, Rachel, Danika, Sebastian, Alex) of Fort Langley, BC; great grandchildren Josephine, Jewel, Jeremiah, Maddison, Owen, and Mason; grandsons-in-law David, Chris and Mike, niece Marta (Simon) Davies; as well as numerous other relatives.  Barb will be dearly missed by her loving family and many members of the Bellingham community.
The family wishes to thank St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for sharing their life in Christ with Barb and Art.  Memorial Services will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11 AM followed by a reception.
