Barbara Westford Danielson, age 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at home in Colorado. She was born January 26, 1944 in Bellingham to John E. and Veronica (Rocke) Westford. Barb attended Assumption School and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1962. She married Kurt Danielson on March 27, 1970 in Bellingham. Barb was an Army Nurse during the Vietnam War, received a degree in Fine Arts, and was a talented painter who exhibited at numerous art shows and taught painting to the disabled. She was a faithful Catholic and was honored to have met Pope John Paul II. Barb will be remembered for her generous nature, positive spirit and outgoing, bubbly personality. She loved her husband and family dearly and would not let her illnesses hold her back in any way. Barb was preceded in death by her father John E. Westford and sister Joanne Westford Adams. She is survived by her loving husband Kurt Danielson; daughter Cheryl (Brad) Blattler and their children Ben, Sydney, Nick and Nick’s daughter Aria; daughter Erikka Danielson and her children Jazzmine, Taylor and John; mother Veronica Westford; brothers Jack (Nancy) Westford, Jim (Micki) Westford, and Mike (Connie) Westford, close family friend Regan Appelo and family, and many other loving family members and friends. . A Vigil Service will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Thurs., Feb. 21st at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Joseph Altenhofen at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bellingham on Fri., Feb. 22nd at 12:10 pm. Reception following.
