Benjamin Ai Cowan of Bellingham passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the age of 84. Born in Hereford, Texas, his family moved to the northwest. Ben went into the Navy and served his country. He married Margerie Koon in Everett and raised two sons and a daughter. In Ben’s career life, he has worked in the theater, railroad, post office, Boeing, and Mobil Refinery as head draftsman until 1984. He was a loving, compassionate, intelligent man. He was a joy to be around with his sense of humor. He was an avid golfer; a true passion of his.
He is survived by his wife Margerie; son Darrell (Ellie); daughter Denise (Jack) Vitaljic; son Duane; grandchildren Jaymi (Toby) Williams, Andrew Benjamin Vitaljic, Darcie Cowan, Stacey Cowan, and Tucker Benjamin (Michelle) Cowan; and great-grandchildren Desiree Cowan and Harper Williams.
We are all very proud of him and would welcome anyone to share that with us on Saturday, October 9th, 2010 at 1:00 pm at King Mountain Church, 567 E. Kellogg Rd.
