Bernard Brandt went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2017 in Bellingham, WA. He was born on March 29, 1924 in Grass Range, MT to Gustav John Theodore Brandt and Anna Fredricka Augustus Neumann Brandt. Bernard served in the US Army in the South Pacific during WWII. Bernard was married to Mavis Rorvik in 1946 until her passing in 1971. He married his current wife Barbara Bruner in 1974. He was proud to have worked as the Watermaster in the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District for many years. Bernard was a dedicated member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church from almost the beginning of the church until he and Barbara moved to Bellingham in 2010. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mavis Brandt. Bernard is survived by his wife Barbara Brandt, daughter Sharon (Richard) Close, son Ron (Linda) Brandt, daughter Patty (Bill) Ervin, sister Bernice, brothers Kenneth and Ted, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many loving relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ the King Bellingham, 4173 Meridian St. at 11 AM on Saturday, May 13th. A Memorial Service will also be held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 640 E.
