Betty M. Hugg

Betty Marlene Brewer Hugg, of Bellingham, WA, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022. She was 86, born on July 25, 1935 in Waterford, CA to Levi and Stella (Murry) Brewer. Betty attended the University of the Pacific graduating with a degree in elementary education and music. She began her working career as a second grade teacher in Modesto and married Gerald Hugg in 1956. They later moved to Bellingham where she taught piano and organ to many students of all ages. She also played often for weddings, funerals, and was the organist at Northwest Baptist Church for 56 years.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Gerald in July 2008 and is survived by her children, Gerilynn (Michael) Martinson, Gennifer (Ronald) Newton, and Ethan (Karen) Hugg as well as six grandchildren, David, Benjamin and Sarah Martinson, and Trek, Pearl, and Hope Hugg.
