Betty Ann Swanson passed away on July 16, 2017. She was born Elizabeth Angela Roehl on May 23, 1937 to Henry J. and Angela Mary (Simshauser) Roehl. Betty Ann married Roger Andrew Swanson on November 10, 1962. She worked as a dental assistant prior to her children being born. Betty Ann was a longtime active member of Assumption Parish prior to moving to Reno, NV, and then on to Rocklin, CA. She participated in many church committees, touching the lives of many parishioners. She was a longtime member of the St. Joseph Hospital Kathleen Pruitt Auxiliary. Betty Ann had a love for shopping and finding that perfect gift or greeting card to send to friends and family. She was a gracious host for all who enjoyed the many parties and gatherings at their Lake Whatcom home. Betty Ann‘s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandsons Dane and Eavan. She had a special way of staying in touch and bringing loved ones together. Betty Ann was predeceased by her parents, her husband Roger, her sister Mary Jo Wilson, her nephew Joe Wilson, and her brother-in-law Roy Swanson. She is survived by her son Andrew Swanson (Carmel Walsh), daughter Angela Swanson, grandsons Dane Tinucci and Eavan Swanson, brother-in-law Jerry Wilson, sister-in-law Nadine Swanson Bowler, nephews Jerry “Jiggs” Wilson, Jr., Jake (Patrice) Wilson, and Warren Swanson and nieces Marlene Richardson and Kristi Swanson, and other loving family members and dear friends.
