Bill Curry, age 75, passed away peacefully at Hospice House in Bellingham on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. He was born to Harry and Harriett Curry in Bellingham on May 27, 1940. Bill married Diane Karuza at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on November 25, 1962.
He attended Assumption School, graduated from Bellingham High School in 1958, and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Bill started as a commercial fisherman and later owned and operated Curry Boats Inc. He had a talent for classic car restoration, and enjoyed watching the Seahawks and Mariners. He enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing with his family and grandkids. He was a hard worker and a dedicated family man.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Diane, daughter Maria (Francis) Taylor and their children Levi and Symone, daughter Nikki Pritchard (Mike Litzinger) and their children Rylee and Marie, brother Chuck Curry (Sue Handy), sisters Peggy (Stu) Bickley and Colleen (Orion) Pepin, nephew Jeff Pepin, and numerous loving relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11 AM on Thursday, March 31st. Reception following. Committal with military honors will follow at Bayview Cemetery. Fr. Joseph Altenhofen will be officiating.
