Carl “Bud” Erickson

Bud Erickson, age 89, passed away in Bellingham on August 14, 2012. He was born October 3, 1922 in Bellingham to Carl and Wendla Erickson. Bud served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-47. Bud married Marjorie West in September 21, 1951. He was a member of the Elks Club, Bellingham Yacht Club, Bellingham Golf & Country Club, Our Saviors Lutheran Church and the American Legion. Bud owned and operated Erickson’s Fabrics in Bellingham for many years. He later was a social worker for DSHS. In retirement Bud and Marge enjoyed boating throughout the San Juan Islands and wintering in Palm Desert. He is survived by his loving wife Marge; nephew; James E. Johnson; great-nephew, Eric Johnson, Eric’s mother Karen Funk, and many loving friends. A family gathering will be held.
