Carl Roger Sahlin, 83, passed away on December 1, 2023, in his hometown, Bellingham, WA. Born on April 17, 1940, in Bellingham, Roger was the beloved husband of Gerry Ann Sahlin for 55 years. He is survived by his daughters, Heather Sahlin and Sigrid Hoag, and his sons, Skip Sahlin and Chris Sahlin.
Roger received his education at Bellingham High School and went on to earn degrees in forestry engineering and business from the University of Washington.
In service to his country, Roger proudly served in the US Coast Guard. His dedication and commitment to duty exemplified his unwavering loyalty to his country.
Throughout his career, Roger was the owner of Lake Trucking Company and Triple R Construction Company in addition to serving as President of Bellingham Stevedoring Company. Beyond his professional life, Roger had a passion for sailing in the San Juan Islands, exploring the beaches of Hawaii and traveling the world.
Roger will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of hard work, integrity and love will forever be remembered.
