Carmen Melbo, lifetime Whatcom County resident passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 in Bellingham at the Mt. Baker Care Center. Carmen is survived by her children Linda (Rolf) Nielsen and Mark (Kathleen); sister Jean (Bob) Wheeler; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband Philip Melbo and her sister Gloria Barns. Private family services will be held at a later date.
