Carol W. Fisher, age 88 passed away in Bellingham on January 12, 2016. She was born September 3, 1927 to Thomas and Dorothy (Turner) Walker in Bartlesville, OK. Carol attended school in Wichita, KS and Oklahoma City, OK. After graduating from high school in Bartlesville, OK, she attended the University of Oklahoma where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
Carol married John C. Caldwell in Bartlesville. After his death, she moved to Honolulu, HI where she married Charles P. Evans. They lived in Honolulu, HI, Oklahoma City, OK, Shreveport, LA, Jackson, MS, Denver, CO and Anchorage, AK. After Charles’ death in 1976, she married Frank R. Fisher and they retired in Sudden Valley, Bellingham, WA. Frank preceded her in death in 1995. In 2013 Carol moved to the Parkway Chateau where she will be fondly remembered for her contagious laughter and sense of humor.
Carol was active in Sudden Valley and Bellingham activities. She was a former member of the Sudden Valley Board of Directors, Women’s Club, Garden Club, Sudden Valley Golf Club, and was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and P.E.O. Chapter F in Bellingham.
Besides her husbands she was preceded in death by her daughter Jane Evans Jermy. She is survived by two sons; Thomas Walker Evans and Charles Paul Evans, Jr., brother Dr. Richard Walker (Mary Lou), nieces; Robin Walker and Mary Gay Fox, nephew Mark Walker, grandchildren; Allison Lynch (Jim), Kayla Jermy, Nicholas Jermy, Ashley Rivas (Nate) and Katie Evans, step-children; Susan Hurst (Doug), Diana Van Hise (Roger), and Nancy Fisher Pani (Miguel), step-grandchildren; Stephanie Wylie (John), Katie Hurst, Megan Wilkins (Nick), Melisa Pani and seven beautiful great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 18, 2016, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
