Carol Gooding

Carol Gooding, age 92, passed away on January 24, 2018 in Bellingham, WA. She was born on March 5, 1925 in Anacortes, WA to George and Ida (Dorcy) Bennett. She moved to Bellingham in 1935 and has lived here ever since. Carol married George Gooding in 1944 and in 1947 they built a house on E. Sunset Drive where they lived for 52 years before moving to James Street Estates in 1999. Carol worked for many years as a cake decorator for various local bakeries. Her number one priority was always her family, followed by her many friends and community involvement. She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, George, in 2016, and her siblings Mary Komen, and William Bennett. She is survived by her son Steve Gooding, daughter Sue (Clint) Parker, granddaughters Jennifer Lucas, Melissa Gooding, and Krystal (Kirk) Carpenter, four great-grandchildren; Hayden Lucas, Brett Miller, Natalie Gooding and Emmalee Gooding, and many other loving relatives and friends. A Service of Remembrance for Carol will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 11 AM at Westford Funeral Home with a reception to follow.
