Born in on August 7, 1992 in Tulare, CA to parents Jesse Gomez and Falisha Clay, Cashman passed away on November 5, 2024 in Lynden, WA.
Raised in Sacramento, CA, where he attended elementary and high school, he relocated to Lynden in 2022 where he worked as a custodian.
Cashman loved to cook and his hard-working nature and commitment to family made him a pillar in their lives. He filled rooms with laughter, brightening even the darkest of days. Cashman was as skilled on the football field and basketball court as he was with numbers; he excelled in mathematics and recently started embracing chess, demonstrating his love for challenges both in play and in life.
He cherished spent with his niece, Harley Bear, and nephew, Booka. Whether playing football or video games, Cashman created a strong bond with his family. His encouragement for them came with an equal measure of tough love and never hesitated to call them out when necessary. He believed in their potential and made it a point to inspire them to do their best.
When Cashman was with his siblings, Markie and Shakire, they reminisced about childhood memories and navigated adulthood together. Conversations were filled with humor and a shared understanding that left their stomachs aching from laughter. Cashman was also known as 'mom’s right-hand man'; their friendship was a special bond that served as a cornerstone of his life. He always kept her on her toes, ensuring that her life was filled with love and laughter.
Cashman Gomez leaves behind a legacy of joy, strength, and connection. His spirit will continue to inspire his family and friends as they cherish the memories of a remarkable man whose kindness, humor, and devotion to family will never be forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Vida Mae Coleman; and paternal grandmother, Eva Gomez.
He is survived by his father, Jesse Gomez; mother, Falisha Clay; sisters, Jacqueline Kubica and Shakire Gomez; brothers, Kaden Stephens and Marquantice Gomez; and a host of other beloved family members.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 14 at New Song Church (4600 Guide Meridian Rd, Bellingham).
