Cathy Visser, age 61 of Bellingham passed away peacefully on October 6, 2013. She was born May 5, 1952 in Bellingham to Al and Anna (Zurn) Claus. Cathy graduated from Sehome High School in 1970 and earned her AA at Skagit Valley CC. She married Ken Visser on May 12, 1973 at Sacred Heart Church in Bellingham. Cathy was the Office Manager at Claus Meats for over 25 years. She loved to travel to warm places, cook gourmet meals, and spend time her family, friends and her labradoodle “K.C.” Cathy was preceded in death by her mother Anna Claus. She is survived by her husband Ken, father Alson, sister Sue (Keith), parents-in-law Bernard and Ruth, sisters-in-law Dianne and Nancy, brothers-in-law Robert and Ronald, special cousin Patricia Randall, and many loving relatives and friends. A Celebration of Cathy’s life will be held at Westford’s Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway at 2 PM on Sunday, October 20th. Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice.
