Cecilia Heffner Penley

Cecilia Heffner Penley was born September 25, 1920. She lived to make 101 trips around the sun. She is survived by her four children; Michael (Julie), Ronald (Sally), Susan, and Sara (Lynda); four grandchildren, Jason (Amy), Zachary (Jess), Parker (Summer), and Jenna; five great-grandchildren, Whitney, Lydia, Lilah, Burke, and Olive; and many nieces, nephews, and siblings.
Cecilia loved everything outdoors from fishing on the river, playing tennis, digging clams, gardening, walking, and occasionally sitting and basking in the warm sun. She loved cooking huge meals for her family and making rosaries for her family and friends.
The family would like to thank the Lummi Homebound Ministries who came weekly for communion and fellowship, Marilyn and Ben for being such great friends, and the Mount Baker Care Center for taking such wonderful care of our mom during the last months of her life.
Mom, we miss you already! For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
