Charles K. Zamzow, of Everson, WA, passed away on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 in Bellingham, WA. Charles was 93, born in Portland, OR to Charles and Esther (Hulbert) Zamzow. He graduated in 1942, the first of four generations of Zamzows’ to graduate from Mt. Baker High School. Charles married Gwen Marsh in June 1949. After graduating from WWU he taught science at Nooksack High School for over thirty years. Charles raised Hereford cattle and loved farming. He and his wife enjoyed snowbirding to Yuma, AZ, attending their grandchildren’s school activities and the annual family camp out at Ross Lake.
He is survived by his loving wife Gwen; son Ken and wife Kathy Zamzow, son Richard and wife Karla Zamzow, and daughter Marilyn and husband Kip Dunlap; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; his sister Lois Millard, and several nieces and nephews.
An open house will be held Sunday, October 29th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Glen Echo Community Center, 7694 Goodwin Road in Everson.
