Clarence J. Kelln, age 83 of Lynden, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 27, 2010 at Christian Health Care Center in Lynden. He was born July 21, 1927 in Follette, TX to Soloman and Johanna (Kirschman) Kelln. Clarence served in the US Air Force from 1946 to 1949. Clarence married Betty J. Larsen on May 21, 1955. Clarence worked numerous jobs, and retired from the Bellingham School District after 19 years. Clarence enjoyed fishing, camping, bird watching and woodworking.
Clarence was preceded in death by his brother Allen. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty, sons John (Vicki) Kelln and Larry Kelln, daughters Nancy (Wayne) Hill and Karen (Carl) Buckenmeyer, grandchildren Amanda (Kevin) Roberts, Teresa (Dustin) Honcoop, Alissa Tjoelker, Mark Hill, Jeremy Burgess, Nicole Burgess and Joshua Kelln and great-grandson Hezekiah Honcoop, sisters-in-law Mary (Jim) Wortley and Wilma Kelln.
Visitation will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 1st from 3-5 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Westford’s on Thursday, December 2nd at 10 AM followed by a reception across the street at Westford’s Broadway Hall. Burial with Military Honors following at Woodlawn Cemetery.
