Claudia Jean Laster

Claudia Laster died peacefully at home on January 26, 2022 at age 80 from cancer. Born in Anacortes on March 8, 1941 to Ed and Sally (Geier) Baker, Claudia taught high school math and physics in Bellevue, Hailey (Idaho), Lynden, and for 25 years with the military dependent schools in Vicenza (Italy) and Bamberg, Nuernberg, and Bonn in Germany. She is survived by her husband, Dave, her daughter, Molly, and two grandchildren, August and Martin Sorenson. Teacher, hiker, skier, gourmet cook, quilter, world traveler and wonderful companion.
