Clifford Cram

Clifford Allan Cram, 75 of Bellingham, passed away suddenly on March 16th, 2013. He was larger than life and one of the most genuine and sincere human beings you ever had the pleasure to meet. He is, in a sense, legendary, and will be remembered as such. He worked as a longshoreman for 47 years in every port from Bellingham to Coos Bay, Oregon. During those years he represented the ILWU Local 7. Following retirement, Cliff remained active as a volunteer coordinator for the ILWU drug and alcohol recovery program. Cliff was passionate about life and was without a doubt the type of person who could walk into any situation and make a friend. He spent many days on the course at Bellingham Golf and Country Club. When not golfing, he could be found in his shop with his motorcycles. The film CC Rider was loosely based on the early life of Cliff Cram. He raced flat track for years and coached football and wrestling in Whatcom County as well as played semi-pro football. Cliff was a Seahawks and Huskies fan as well as a season ticket holder to the Bellingham Roller Betties. The family will be holding a celebration of life on Sunday, April 7th, 2013 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the family home at 1800 Mt. Baker Highway. He will be greatly missed by many loved ones but never forgotten.
