Dale M. Perry

March 28, 1932 — June 7, 2017

Dale M. Perry, 85, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Bellingham. Dale was born and raised in Bellingham, the son of Harvey Perry and Theresa (Jones) Perry. He was a lifelong resident of the Bellingham and Ferndale areas. Dale played baseball and basketball at Ferndale High and graduated in the class of 1950. He worked at the local pulp mill before entering the service. Dale served as a lineman in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. After the war, he worked for nine years as a delivery driver for Union Oil and another 23 years at BP Distributing. Dale married his wife Deloris in Bellingham in 1970. He later worked for Uniflite boats before being hired to work in security at the ARCO refinery. He retired from ARCO after 10 years of service and continued to work part-time for NW Computers where his son Doug also worked. Dale and Deloris enjoyed square dancing, round dancing, traveling, and going on cruises. He also enjoyed and playing golf and horseshoes with his longtime friend Ray DeBoer. As an active member of Hope in Christ Church, Dale enjoyed going to house church and spending time with fellow church members. He leaves his wife of 46 years, Deloris; daughter, Sharon (Robert) Robles; sons, Stan (Diane) Pfullman and Doug (Sara) Perry; brothers, Ted Perry and Jim (Margaret) Perry; sister, Judy (Ed) Weaver; nine grandchildren; and many close friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Hope in Christ Church, 710 E. Sunset Dr. in Bellingham on Sunday, June 25th at 3 PM. A reception will follow.
