Danelle "Dani Jo" Younker

Danelle (Dani Jo) passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024 and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Danelle was born in Valdez, Alaska to Mike and Vicki Younker on June 1, 1970.
At the age of 18 months Danelle was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. She went on to live a life of countless doctor and therapy appointments, but she never let it stop her from doing things she enjoyed. She fought and conquered many obstacles in her life in regard to her health. She was a vibrant, happy, strong-minded woman who never gave up the fight that lay before her. She overcame many hurdles in her life and it was a testimony to the strength God gave her in her illness. She never complained about the life she had, in fact she never saw herself as being different from others around her as she would often say, "let's go for a walk.”
She loved her family very much and always enjoyed visits from her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. Her favorite thing was to open up gifts that they would bring to her.
At a young age, Danelle received Jesus as the Savior of her life and, because of that, she would talk about how when she got to Heaven she would get to run. Our family celebrates that with her right now, having the peace of knowing she is fully healed and we will see her again.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Arthur Younker, Arlene Younker, Victor Borth and Bette Borth.
She is survived by her parents Mike and Vicki Younker, brother Jason (Chelli) Younker, sister Rachel (Bill) Trueman; nephews Jet Younker, Jace Younker, Trent Trueman and nieces Tori Younker, Charlee Trueman and Raelynn Trueman along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16 at 1:30pm at Citipoint Church (3302 Cedardale Rd. Mt. Vernon).
