Daniel Oliver Monton was born in Seattle, WA on December 9th, 1958 to parents Daniel and Francis Monton and passed away at his home on August 28th, 2022.
Dan grew up in West Seattle with his five brothers. He attended culinary arts school and was a chef as his first career but found a new passion and spent the last 35 years as a Commercial Electrician working all across Washington State as well as parts of Oregon and California.
Dan was very humble, kind, forgiving, and always thought of others before himself. He loved to make people laugh and believed laughter was one of the best medicines for healing people feeling down. The last five years he made a loving home in Blaine alongside his loving wife Lia whom he met in 2011 and a love like none other was created and blossomed. Dan lived and loved life to the fullest and loved spending time outdoors fishing and camping with all of his children in the summertime. He also enjoyed golf, watching football and baseball, and riding motorcycles. Dan was a shining light to his family, friends, and work colleagues.
He is survived by his loving wife Lia; five children and two step-children; Robert (44), Megan (41), Nicholas (38), Pierce (32), Andre’ (30), Mason (27), and Bianca (22); and three grandchildren.
And a very special thank you to funeral director Ally Tippery at Westford Funeral Home for her kindness and care for our family during such a difficult time.
