David Ray Hagerty

David Ray Hagerty, age 66 of Birch Bay, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in Bellingham, WA.

Dave was born June 27, 1950 in Burlington, WA to Jack and Phyllis (Van Matre) Hagerty. He grew up in Skagit County and after graduating from Burlington-Edison High School in 1968, Dave proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked in the farming industry for the majority of his career, which included a family farm in south Mount Vernon. Dave was also a volunteer fireman and youth soccer coach. He loved all animals and enjoyed sprint car and lawn mower racing, fishing, and most of all, camping.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his four children, Tina (Muhamed), Scott (Evelyn), Jake and Joel; two grandchildren Gavin and Ella; brothers Danny (Marilyn), Darrell (Laurie) and sister Darlene (Al) Eshuis and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00pm, Wednesday, October 19 at Westford Funeral Home. A Service of Remembrance with Military Honors will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, October 20 at Westford Funeral Home, followed by a reception.
