Dave Osborne, age 74 of Bellingham passed away peacefully on October 25, 2014. He was born June 17, 1940 in Flora, IL to James and Elaine Osborne. Dave spent most of his childhood in Garland, Wyoming where he developed a love for nature and fishing. He moved to Washington to work for Boeing in 1966 and later worked for the Cherry Point Refinery for almost 30 years. Dave loved children and animals and was affectionately known as “Super Dave” Osborne to many of his friends. Dave is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, children Brad (Cindy) Osborne, Brian Osborne, Nikkole (Kevin) Bell, Bryan (Leah) Martinson, sisters Nancy (Larry) Erstead, and Patti (Chaz) Travis, brother Tom (Alice) Osborne, grandchildren Josh (Tiana) Osborne, Jessica (Devin) Sweeney, Nathan and Adam Bell and Clayton Martinson, and numerous nieces and nephews. His infectious smile and kind heart will be missed by all his family and many friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Silverado for taking such loving care of him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Whatcom Hospice. A Celebration of Dave’s life will be held at Westford Funeral Home at 11am on Saturday, November 1.
