Dawana Browne, age 43 of Ferndale, passed away January 29, 2011.  She was born May 30, 1967 in Wenatchee, WA.  She attended WWU and worked as a dental assistant in Bellingham.  Dawana married Scott Browne on August 8, 1998 and they have two daughters, Logan (age 10) & Blakely (age 7).
Dawana was an athletic person who enjoyed running, working out, volleyball, and skiing.  She was a fierce competitor who loved playing softball.  Dawana was also a very loving and dedicated mother who was extremely proud of her girls.  She was actively involved with their academics as well as their athletic ventures. Dawana volunteered at their school and never missed one of their soccer or basketball games.
Dawana was preceded in death by her father, William H. Brincefield.  She is survived by her husband, Scott; daughters Logan and Blakely; brother Rick (Nancy) Brincefield of Vancouver, WA and their daughter Michelle; mother Audra L. Davies of Wenatchee; parents-in-law Ron and Rena Browne; Rena’s brother Bill Catlow, sister-in-law Joanne Hayes and her sons Tyler and Nathan, as well as the loving extended Browne, Frazier, Catlow, Nicholes, and Edwards families.
The family wants to thank the many first responders for their care and concern, especially Support Officer Kendra Christelli, whose help has been tremendous.

A Celebration of Dawana’s Life will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Saturday, February 5th, 2011 at 11 AM, followed by a reception across the street at Westford’s Broadway Hall.
