Delbert H. "Del" Johnson

Del Johnson, age 94 of Bellingham, passed away May 9, 2014. He was born October 25, 1919 in Bellingham, WA to Swan and Grace Johnson. Del served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was an avid downhill skier and enjoyed ballroom dancing for decades. Del was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Johnson and sisters Ardis Wilson and Beverly Gunderson. He is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families including Geriann (Ron) Snyder, “Sigi” Janet (Mike) Bell, Peter (Racelia) Gunderson, Judy (Don) Parham, Joel (Loma) Gunderson, Ruth (Dan) McCort, Ole Gunderson, Jon (Tammy) Gunderson, Harvey (Cindy) Gunderson, former companions Mara Green and Winnifred E. Smith, and many other friends. Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice. A private family gathering will be held.
