Please join me, Lori MacQueen, in remembering my mother, Dee MacQueen as I bring her to final rest with my father, Don MacQueen at a memorial service at Wyoming State Veteran’s Cemetery, July 8, 2016 at 12 noon. All are welcome.
Dee MacQueen, age 92, passed away on October 5, 2015 with her loving grandson, Henry Petersen, at her side. She was born July 10, 1923 in Stromsburg, NE to Clark and Florence Howard. She was married to Donald A. MacQueen for 45 years in Casper, WY where she was a homemaker and he was a livestock broker. She belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution. Dee was civic minded and served in leadership in the First Presbyterian Church in Casper, WY. She enjoyed the beauty of flowers and was immersed in the arts, attended symphonies and the opera. She was a world traveler. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald and her grandson Oscar. Dee is survived by her children Jenny (Skylar) Dimick, Lori MacQueen, Jim (Joanna) MacQueen and Robert MacQueen, grandchildren Cassidy (Kris) King, Amber McClure (Christopher Casey), Steven Von Motz, Phillipa Lindsay and Henry Petersen, seven great-grandchildren and close friend Katja Skaggs. A Memorial Service will be held at Westford Funeral Home at 11 AM on Saturday, October 10. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Whatcom County. You may share memories with the family at
