Dennis "Sonny" W. Owen

Born in Superior, NE to Charles and Mildred (Ross) Owen on June 9, 1947, Sonny passed away at his home in Blaine, WA on March 27, 2023.
A proud Veteran, Sonny joined the U.S. Navy shortly after High School graduation and served 2 tours in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged after 25 of years of service. He was a skilled mechanic and enjoyed building Hot Rods with his brother from the ground up. He also enjoyed spending time at the Owen family cabin that he helped build in Eastern WA where he would hunt and fish, all with a Budweiser in hand.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marlene Tibbets; brother, Robert Owen; and nephew, Kelsey Owen.
Survivors include his sons, Jeffrey and Kevin Owen, and their mother Marlane; grandchildren, Jacob, Kendall, and Oliver Owen, and Katrina Smith; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Paisley Smith; brothers, Charles Koester and David (Marilyn) Owen; sister, Glenda (Don) Cook; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A memorial service with military honors will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 11:00am at Westford Funeral Home.
