Diane Yale, age 80 of Bellingham passed away April 2, 2015. She was born June 26, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Mandel and Kate Yale.
Diane was an Attorney who practiced divorce mediation, an environmental activist, and worked for peace and social justice. She was a forward thinker, always at least 20 years ahead of her time. People who knew her came to appreciate that she was, in fact, always right. In recent years she enjoyed volunteering to help teen mothers, spending time with her Yiddish group and studying Native American history.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, her aunt who raised her, Lena, and her brothers Lloyd, Marty and Seymour. She is survived by her son Nicholas Sauter (wife Leslie) and their daughters Isabelle and Jennifer, daughter Rebecca Sauter (husband Robert Mittendorf) and their daughters Leah and Emma.
