Dianne Wistoski, age 63 of Tacoma, passed away October 18, 2010 in Seattle after an extended illness. She was born January 19, 1947 in Bellingham to Arthur & June (Scrimsher) Gaasland. Dianne grew up in Bellingham on farms on Baker Street and Bakerview Road. In her younger years, she was active in her church youth group and church related summer camps. Dianne married Bob Wistoski on April 23, 1977 in Bellingham and they moved to Tacoma where they raised their daughter Kayla.
Dianne started her banking career as a teller at the “Gilda Window” at Bellingham National Bank and later worked in Tacoma with Puget Sound Bank, which became KeyBank. She retired from KeyBank as Operations Control Manager. Dianne touched many lives with her hearty laugh, great sense of humor and her empathy and caring for others. She will be dearly missed and remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Gary & Larry Gaasland. She is survived by her husband, Bob Wistoski of Tacoma; daughter Kayla Morales (husband Maj. Michael Morales) who are currently stationed in Florida and their children Emma, Peyton, Livia, and McKinley who is due in November; nephew Dean Gaasland (wife Joan) and their children Courtney and Ciarra of Vancouver, WA; cousin Robert Scrimsher (wife Terri) of Sedro Woolley, cousin Dean of Bellingham and many loving relatives, friends and co-workers. A Celebration of Dianne’s Life will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Mon., Oct. 25 at 12 Noon, followed by a reception across the street at Westford’s Broadway Hall. Burial will follow at Greenacres Cemetery. Pastor Gary Shoemaker will be officiating.
