Dixie Lee May

Dixie Lee May, of Bellingham, WA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at her home. She was 88, born in Whatcom County on April 18, 1933 to Elsie Wave (Pettibone) and Sylvester Arthur Beard. Dixie married Clyde Lee May on February 15, 1958. Dixie enjoyed reading, putting puzzles together, and spending time with grandchildren. She spent several years traveling the United States on the back of Clyde‘s motorcycle and an all-time favorite activity was looking for agates on the Oregon coast. Dixie is survived by her husband Clyde and her children, Tammi May, Linda May-Turner and her husband Tad Turner, Michael May and his wife Lenette; six grandchildren, Cammie, Tara, Raina, Chase, Ashley and Ryan and four great-grandchildren.
