Dolores Monks, age 84 of Bellingham, passed away December 23, 2011. She was born May 12, 1927 in Fowler, Kansas to Ralston and Gladys Smiley. Dolores had a strong faith in God and in Jesus as her Savior. She enjoyed attending Christ the King Community Church in Bellingham with her family. Dolores was a devoted mother and grandmother and always put her family first. She enjoyed travel, riding on Gene’s motorcycle and spending time with her family. Dolores was preceded in death her husband Gene in 2010, grandson Eli Lewis and brothers Decker and JayDee. She is survived by her daughter Yvonne Lewis; grandson Ryan (Megan) Lewis and their daughters Amanda, Raven, Alexia and Taylor; grandsons Collin and Brandon Lewis; granddaughter Emily Lewis, Eli’s four children Makayla, Chance, Weston and Elijah, brothers Don, Ron and Charles, sisters Claudia, Marie, Marcheta, Chloe Dell, Keaula and many other close friends and family members. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Friday, January 6th at 11 AM followed by a reception across the street at Westford’s Broadway Hall.
