Donald R. Mauro, age 79, passed away in Bellingham on January 13, 2016. He was born on March 3, 1936 in Spokane, WA to Ray and Florence (Rudy) Wilson.
Don was a mechanic, a gardener, an aerospace engineer, a horrible golfer, a car enthusiast, a builder of decks, a private pilot, a dog lover, and our father. Don was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Mary’s parish in Anacortes, WA, where memorials may be made in his name.
He was preceded in death by son Danny Mauro and longtime significant other Maureen Crow. He is survived by son David Mauro and fiancee Linda Lehn, (sons Trevor and Chase), daughter Michelle and husband Colin Cushman (daughter Brooke), sisters Mary Ellen Wilson, Alice Wilson and Annette Christensen, fiancee Linda Lehn, and many loving relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, January 22 at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, 205 NE 205th St., Shoreline, WA 98155.
