Donald G. Whitener, a longtime resident of Bellingham, WA, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 surrounded by his family. Don was 66, born in Tacoma, WA on August 31, 1952 to Paul and Betty Whitener. Don is survived by his wife of 42 years Joanie (Scribner); sons, Kevin (Sue) Whitener and Eric (Kelli) Whitener; 4 grandchildren, Violet, Adeline, Carson, and Finley Whitener. Don loved his family, fishing and building things (always on time and under budget). A private graveside and celebration of life will be held. Memorials may be made to Whatcom Humane Society.
