Donald Charles Wood

Don Wood, age 61, passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 2016. He was born October 17, 1954 to Charles and Dorothy Wood.

Don graduated from Ferndale High School in 1973. He was a longtime member of the Laborer’s Union. Don joyfully worked at Diamond B Plumbing for nearly 20 years, where he had formed great relationships with many in the industry. He had recently retired and was enjoying his leisure time to the fullest, riding his Harley and taking out his fishing boat. Don was a solid, stand-up guy with a great sense of humor, and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Paul.

Don is survived by sisters Dianne (husband Ron) Blakesley and Debra Wood, sister-in-law Jan Hettervig, nieces Kim (husband Sam) Wagner, Christian Bergh and Corrine (husband Marcus) Tiffany, great-nieces and nephews Lindsey Powell, Tristan and Eli Tiffany, and Violet Cadero, and many loving relatives and friends.

A life celebration will be held at the American Legion Post #154, 5537 2nd Ave. in Ferndale at 3 PM on Friday, September 16th. A reception will follow. Memorials in Don’s name may be made to Kulshan Community Land Trust. You may share memories with the family at www.westfordfuneralhome.com .
