Doris E. Dixon

Doris Dixon, age 96, passed away in Bellingham, WA on November 18, 2021. Doris was born in Seattle, WA to Thomas and Jennie Holmes. Doris has been described as a “firecracker.” She was chatty and always had a story to tell. Doris married Billy Dixon on January 20, 1949 in Bellingham. Together they raised their two children, Mike and Kathy. Doris was a member of Church of the Assumption. Doris loved dogs and over the years bred Standard and Bearded Collies and Australian Terriers. She was dearly loved by her grand, great and great-great-grandchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Billy Dixon, brothers Howard and Robert, and sisters Dorothy and Shirley. She is survived by her son Mike Dixon and daughter Kathy (husband Ron) Lovell, brother-in-law Richard Dixon (who passed Nov. 23) and his wife Carla, grandchildren Sean, Jennie, Colby, Mike, Scott and Barry, 14 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, half-sister Betty, and many loving relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Assumption on Tuesday, November 30th at 12:30 PM followed by committal at Greenacres Cemetery.
