Dorothy Ellen Kuhblank passed from this life on March 15, 2016 after 98 years filled with family, friends, and fond companions. Childhood years in a family of 10 on a small Lakewood strawberry farm coupled with the lean years during WWII led Dorothy to develop a talent for creative ways to use and reuse discarded items. She would have been a Pinterest rockstar! It did lead her to a lifelong love of garage sales, and she took pride in her bargaining skills.
Dorothy loved to dance, tell jokes, play partner pinochle, and win at bingo. She will be lovingly remembered by her family for her infectious laugh and the joy she brought to their parties and get-togethers through the years.
She is survived by her sons Larry (Shirley) Childs and Don (Cheryl) Childs, and daughter-in-law Sandy Goforth. Her son Glen Goforth passed away in January, 2016.
May she be dancing and laughing once again in her new life.
