Dorothy C. O’Connor, age 87, passed away October 22, 2010 in Bellingham. She was born July 10, 1923 in Nashau, New Hampshire. She has lived in Bellingham since 1970. She worked for the Bellingham School District until her retirement in 1990. She was an active volunteer member of the Senior Activity Center and a member of Assumption Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. Her hobbies were travelling, gardening, reading and music. Dorothy was vibrant, caring, generous, and had a great sense of humor.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. O’Connor in 1965 and her mother, Leah Sirois in 1995. She is survived by her sons David O’Connor of Camano Island and Kevin (wife Michele) O’Connor of Aurora, West Virginia, 7 grandchildren, Scott, Christopher, Lauren, Kurt (wife Abby), Kyle (wife Sabrina), Michael, and Daniel, niece Leann (husband Wally) Wheatman of Mt. Vernon and dear friend Carol Remsen.
A family gathering will be held.
