Dorothy J. Schnackenberg, age 78, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013 in Bellingham. She was born June 20, 1935 in Bellingham to Jessie and Lottie (Hofferber) Fox. She was preceded in death by her husband Darrel and her sister Helen. She is survived by her son Warren (wife Denise) Schnackenberg and their children Derick, Autumn, Jarred and Lacey, son Douglas Schnackenberg (partner Mitch Franks), great-grandson Nathan, and many loving relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Whatcom Hospice House for all of their love and assistance. A graveside gathering will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ferndale on Fri., 8/9 at 12 Noon.
