Dorothy Smith, age 92 passed away peacefully at Whatcom Hospice House on Monday, November 28, 2016. She was born in Taylorville, IL on December 23, 1923 to John and Georgette Cairns. The family moved to Bellingham when Dorothy was an infant.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, daughter Rita, sister Mary and brother Jules. She is survived by her son Allen (Phyllis) Smith, daughter Dottie (Bill) Parriera, sister Virginia Cartwright, grandchildren Debbie, Roger, Michael, Courtney, Julie, Jeff, Tyler and Travis, and many great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
A private family burial service was held. Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice.
