Dottie Wimbush, age 96, passed away peacefully in Bellevue, WA on September 16, 2015. She was born March 13, 1919 in Nanaimo, B.C. to Evan and Blodwen (Davies) James.
Dottie spent many years working in her husband Perce’s accounting practice. When Perce died in 1965, Owen Olsen bought the practice and he and Dottie continued to work together for over 40 years. Dottie was a graduate of Whatcom High School and was a longtime member of the Bellingham Golf & Country Club and the Bellingham Yacht Club. In later years she earned Master Points playing duplicate bridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband Perce and siblings Harold, Olwen, May and Ken.
She is survived by her son Stephen Wimbush (wife Lynda) of Issaquah, WA, daughter Kathryn Ford (husband Jim) of Versailles, KY, grandchildren Tracy Jones and Heather Emery (husband Scott), great-grandchildren Caeley, Chloe, Jared, James and Caroline and many loving relatives and friends.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Friday, September 25th at 11 AM. Reception following.
