Douglas Edward Buck

Douglas “Doug” Edward Buck, age 74, passed away on June 7, 2024 in Bellingham, WA. Doug was born on September 8, 1949 in Bellingham and was a lifelong Whatcom County resident.
Shortly after graduation from Bellingham High School, Doug enlisted in the US Navy. He was stationed on the USS Enterprise CVAN 65 where his primary duty was payroll.
After his time in the Navy, Doug continued his education at Whatcom Community College and graduated with his Associate of Arts and Science degree. He also received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Evergreen State College. Doug was employed as the Business Manager at Whatcom Community College for more than forty years.
He was an avid gardener, loved cooking his famous spaghetti, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Jackie (Fitzgerald), daughter Melissa and her husband Shane, son Kyle, brother Stephen, and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 1:00pm at Westford’s Broadway Hall in Bellingham
