Edie Nienaber, age 83 of Bellingham, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. She and her twin brother Allan were born to Clifford and Blanche Puckett in Mitchell, SD on April 14, 1932.
Edie was a self-made, successful business woman and entrepreneur. She was memorable, vibrant, fiery, tenacious, and took charge of her own destiny. She was adventurous, traveled the world, enjoyed waterskiing and even went skydiving with her sons. She was highly competitive and enjoyed beating her brother-in-law, Bill Dempewolf, at cards. Edie adored her family and was a much loved mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by former husband James Gravning, sister Bethel, twin brothers Lucky and Bill, and her twin brother Allan. Edie is survived by five children, Larry Gravning, Dale (Sunni) Gravning, Dawn (Patrick) Galster, Kim (Dwight) Jeppson and Sherri (Brian) VanKeulen, 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Westford Funeral Home. Graveside service following at Bayview Cemetery. Reception following at Westford’s Broadway Hall.
