Edith Turnbull, age 89 of Bellingham, passed away December 12, 2013. She was born in Bellingham to Hiram and Ruth Bowers and was a lifetime resident of Whatcom County. She worked at Boeing, where she met her husband Johnny and later she worked as a seamstress at Van’s BB Furniture. In retirement Edith enjoyed cooking and entertaining, tole painting, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband John, brothers Herman and Hiram Jr. She is survived by her brother Richard Bowers, sister-in-laws Beryl and Maureen Bowers and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity. A visitation will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Tue., Dec. 17 at noon, with a funeral service following at 1pm. Reception to follow.
